Block harmful UV rays & reduce heat while enhancing the appearance of your vehicle
Whether you live in Johnson City, Kingsport, or Bristol, the Tri-Cities area and nearby experience an average of 201 sunny days per year, and as we all know, it can get really hot, really fast. Given the amount of time we spend in our vehicles, protecting yourself and your vehicle's interior from the sun's harsh rays while commuting or running errands is essential.
Let us help make your commute more comfortable with our professional-grade Llumar window film. Our window tinting services provide increased privacy, better heat rejection, and a more stylish look for your vehicle.
Benefits of Llumar Window Tint
UV Protection
LLumar window tint blocks up to 99% of harmful UV rays. This protects your skin from potential damage, reducing the risk of skin cancer and other health issues. It also helps prevent your car's interior, including upholstery, dashboard, and trim, from fading and cracking.
Heat Rejection
LLumar tint significantly reduces heat buildup inside your vehicle, keeping it cooler and more comfortable. This can be particularly beneficial during hot summer days, making your drive more pleasant and reducing the need for air conditioning.
Glare Reduction
By minimizing glare from the sun and headlights, LLumar window tint improves visibility and reduces eye strain. This enhances driving safety, especially during sunrise, sunset, and nighttime driving conditions.
Enhanced Privacy
LLumar window tint provides increased privacy by making it harder for outsiders to see into your vehicle. This can help protect your belongings from potential thieves and give you peace of mind.
Energy Efficiency
By reducing the need for air conditioning, LLumar tint can help improve your vehicle's fuel efficiency. Less reliance on the AC means less strain on your car's engine, which can contribute to better gas mileage.
Shatter Resistance
LLumar tint adds a layer of protection to your windows, making them more resistant to shattering. In the event of an accident or an attempted break-in, the tint helps hold broken glass together, reducing the risk of injury from flying glass shards.
Aesthetic Appeal
LLumar tint enhances the look of your vehicle, giving it a sleek and stylish appearance. With various shades and types available, you can customize the look of your car to match your personal preferences.
Health Benefits
By reducing exposure to harmful UV rays, LLumar tint helps lower the risk of skin cancer and other health issues. It also creates a more comfortable driving environment, reducing the potential for heat-related discomfort and fatigue.
Lifetime Warranty
LLumar window tint is backed by a limited lifetime warranty, ensuring long-lasting performance and peace of mind. The warranty covers any defects in materials and workmanship, giving you confidence in your purchase.

Window tinting FAQ
How long does it take to tint my car?
The time it takes to tint your vehicle’s windows can vary based on several factors. Do we need to remove old window tint first? How many windows are you having tinted, and are they large or complex? For a full car window tint, we typically require a full day to ensure precision and quality. If you’re only tinting the front two windows, the process usually takes just a few hours.
Where is your shop located?
We offer our window tinting and ceramic coating services only at 3314 W Market St, near Harbor Freight Tools of Johnson City, TN
Are the windows tinted on the interior or exterior of the car?
You might have seen window tint on the outside in photos, but that’s only for preparation, such as cutting or shrinking the film. The final installation always happens on the interior for a smooth, lasting finish. If you’re looking for expert window tinting near you, we’re here to help. Trust us for quality results every time!
What are the tint laws in Tennessee?
In Tennessee, window tint laws specify how dark and reflective your tint can be. For the windshield, tint is allowed above the manufacturer’s AS-1 line, or 70% VLT for the full windshield. Front and back side windows, as well as the rear window, must let more than 35% of light through (35% VLT).
Can you tint my windshield?
Of course, we can! Tinting your windshield is a smart choice since it’s the largest piece of glass in your car and plays a key role in your driving experience. A quality tint helps block harmful UV rays, keeping your car cooler, protecting your skin, and preventing your interior from fading or cracking. It also reduces glare from sunlight and headlights, making driving safer and more comfortable. Plus, it can improve energy efficiency by reducing the strain on your air conditioning. Just make sure the tint complies with local laws for a safe and legal upgrade.

When can I roll my windows down?
After tinting, you'll want to wait about 2-4 days before rolling your windows down. This gives the film time to properly cure and bond. Rolling them down too soon could cause the edges to peel or warp. The exact time can vary depending on the weather, but we recommend following this general guideline for the best results.
Do you have to remove the old film?
Yes, removing old tint film is usually necessary before applying new tint. Over time, the film can start to bubble, fade, or peel, which not only affects the look but also the effectiveness of the new tint. Removing the old film ensures that the new tint will adhere properly and give you a clean, smooth finish. Additionally, leaving old film on can lead to imperfections or uneven tinting, so it’s best to start with a clean surface for optimal results.
Can I tint my windows if it has cracks?
It's not recommended to tint windows that have cracks. Applying tint can cause heat buildup, especially with darker films, which may stress the glass and cause existing cracks to spread. Additionally, the adhesive in the tint film can put pressure on the cracked areas, making them more prone to expanding. To avoid these issues, it’s best to repair any cracks first before tinting your windows, ensuring the tint will adhere properly and not cause further damage to the glass.
